Lovran was named after a bay laurel (lovor) – its charming scent is a first welcome to Lovran. It is especially known for its cherries and chestnuts, commonly used in local dishes. The popular landmark for strolling is an enchating Lungomare promenade situated by the sea.

Lovran, once constituted the walls and ramparts, will surprise the visitors with its old core narrating its history and past. Local art can be also in the St. George’s Church – its recognizable feature is the Romanesque Bell tower.
