About WINE REGIONS
Croatian wine and its production is dating back to about 2,500 years ago on the southern Dalmatian islands of Vis, Hvar and Korčula. There are two distinct wine producing regions. In the northeast, a continental region produces rich fruity white wines. On the coast, wine grapes are similar to those produced in the neighbouring country Italy. Furthermore, the south wine production resembles the Mediterranean-style reds.
